Hi Everyone!
I've decided to go back to school at age 49!!! Can you believe it? I want to earn a Master of Science in Information Technology. To get acclimated to online classes, I've enrolled in EME2400 - Introduction to Educational Technology. I've wanted to go back to college for a LONG time to pursue a Master of SOMETHING! I've let my fear of dealing with ADHD hold me back but now it's full steam ahead!
I come from a family of educators but I do not have formal teaching experience. My entire IT career has revolved around educational entities. I'd like to put my IT experience and knowledge to use working with children and/or the elderly. People ask me for help with computer stuff all of the time. I've run a computer lab that was grant funded in the past (located in a local housing project). I work at FSU - Northwest Regional Data Center, which is a part of Information Technology Services.
I hope to learn how to teach children and elderly people with technological tools. One day, my goal is to write grants and provide a space for encouraging children and the elderly that have learning challenges to embrace computing as a means for mastering their interests.
